Our Bucket List for Australia

People tend to have a Bucket List of accomplishments they want to achieve before they pop their clogs! I, however, think with Australia being such an ENORMOUS country that making a list of places I would like to see before leaving the Land Down Unda is a good idea!

See Uluru/Ayers Rock

I have dreamt of this one since I was about 12 years old. I remember an aunt and uncle of mine visited Australia around this time and I remember looking at all the Australia brochures and thinking ‘I want to go there’ so fingers crossed it happens. With it being so far inland I really do hope we have the time and the money to stop off here too!

See the Tasmanian Devils

These little devils are native to Tasmania and we were delighted to get this one ticked off the list. We spent a weekend here as detailed in my Tasmania post and we absolutely loved it. The Tasmania Devil was definitely one of our favourite parts of our trip and we would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the Victoria region with its close proximity to the island state of Tasmania.

Swim in the Great Barrier Reef

I think this one is true for many people who come to Australia. You see it on the TV you hear about it from friends and being considered one of the top attractions in ALL of Australia, I can only hope it lives up to all these expectations! Apparently, you need to decide whether or not you prefer the view above or below the water… it’s that beautiful! #Excited

Take a trip own the Great Ocean Road

Luckily this one is very much in the pipeline and happening over the public holiday next month. We have booked out tour with a company called Travel Freedom. We are doing a 2-day/1-night tour and we leave on the Saturday morning, returning Sunday night. So I am super psyched for this!

Sydney Opera House

We will definitely visit here, again this is on many peoples list and being somewhat close to it, it would be a shame it miss it. So yes, very much looking forward to this one! Cannot wait, I know it’s a little cliché but sure you cant visit Sydney without taking a tour of the Opera House, right?

One of the things I see a lot of people do when they come to Australia is a sky dive or something similar but I can honestly say, not in a million years would I jump out of a plane. Not for love nor money! So no…. this one ain’t on my list!
