Yes, it’s as good as it sounds! The Good Food & Good Wine Show recently came to Melbourne and Jamie and I were lucky to attend having scored some tickets that were up for grabs over on Instagram with Liven. The event was held in the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 3-5 June.
We were advised to arrive early enough on the day we planned on going, which was the Sunday and that we did. Doors opened at 10am and we were there for about 10.30. Luckily we did as the queues for the stalls were already two-people deep and there was still lines of people waiting to get in. It was an absolutely miserable day that particular Sunday and we were only too delighted to get inside out of the rain!
There was hundreds of local and international exhibitions with an array of stalls with cheeses, yoghurt, wine and even a live cooking demonstration! It was super, we tasted so many foods and we were actually stuffed when we came out.
We did make one small purchase at the Always Fresh stand. They had delicious samples of their olives, sundried tomatoes and crackers and I couldn’t help myself when they had ready-filled shopping bags for purchase just for $10 which was valued at $49! I’m a sucker for good value. The bag consisted of their Cheese Bites, Olives, Capers, Sundried Tomatoes, Garlic Stir-in-Paste, a tea towel and a hand little shopping bag. We have not tried them yet however if their samples are anything to go by then I bet they’re delicious!
